For the record, I have not seen Avatar yet. Something about the Fern Gully Meets Star Wars makes this movie unattractive to me. But Mark Driscoll chimed in on it, which is no surprise. This guy loves to bash on popular culture. He did it with the Shack and now he’s doing it with Avatar.
Check it out:
What do you think? Was the movie Satanic? Is there something Christians can learn from the movie? What would you say to convince me to go see it?

I don’t think avatar was demonic, it was pure entertainment is this man just mad because he didn’t think to do the movie? Lol. Any thing we see can have under currents, but to me this guy acts like the believers are going to watch this movie again make believe movie and say later Jesus dude we want to go serve Avatar now. It is ridiculous, I think if he spent more time focusing on sharing the grace of God and not being the “conspiracy theorist”movie critic he would do much better in appealing to the whole body of Christ. I don’t take away from a lot of our movies do not help the children of our culture that don’t have parents teaching them the word and who God is can be influenced by movies like Harry Potter to think hey witchcraft is cool, but not to the degree that every time you here criticisms from the Christian C.P.(conspiracy theorist) community they act like that those movies are going to turn people into Satan worshipers or something. It is ridiculous, and kind of embarrassing to say the least. Just my opinion, but some topics should be left outside the place of worship. Including “demonic” movies, if they really want to know the truth you got more demons running a muck in the church building anyway. Lol. They should focus on casting them back into the airwaves, since they are so concerned with the demons. Lol. Bottomline to me is this it seems like these C.P. people give more credit to the enemy than to who God is, like the Holy Spirit just speaks to them and the rest of us need for them to explain every minute thing as well as act like the Holy Spirit don’t know how to let us know when something is not good to feed our spirit man. We each that are saved has the same Holy Spirit working in us as they do, but you wouldn’t know it listening to them and their opinions that they are passing off to the body of Christ like it is “thus says the Lord”. It is comical to say the least. If they put that much energy into sharing who God is with the masses they would win a lot more souls. Again just my humble opinion.
